Now serving Mattapony Reserve's 2020 vintage of single varietal wines. Mattapony's natural wine captures the purest flavors of each varietal without the use of sulfites, additives or preservatives. Enjoy your wine-tasting at a one-of-a-kind solid maple bar.

Mattapony Reserve's tasting room and museum create a unique and memorable experience not found at other local wineries. The museum showcases 10,000 to 11,000 year old Mattapony Indian projectile points that were collected from the Mattaponi River.

Also featured are Native American baskets, pottery, jewelry and more. Guests can purchase a one-of-a-kind piece and support Native American artisans.

After exploring artifacts and artwork in the museum, enjoy a tasting of Mattapony Reserve's natural wines, order from the grilled foods menu, and step outdoors to the breathtaking view overlooking the Mattaponi River and bird sanctuary.

Meet the Owners

For Ginger and Lonnie Custalow, winemaking has been their passion for over 10 years. Early on, each made their own batches of wine, comparing notes and learning together as their knowledge grew with each vintage. Three years ago, they embarked into commercial winemaking. Their dream was to one day share their love of wine and the natural beauty of the Mattaponi River with others. Please join them for a memorable experience. Cheers!
